Strong, Reliable, and Eco-Friendly 🌱

These doggy poop bags are a win in my book. They’re durable enough to handle the job (which is really the only thing that matters 😅), but what I really appreciate is that they’re compostable. As someone who tries to be a bit more environmentally conscious, that’s a big plus.I have two dogs, so we go through bags pretty quickly, and this pack comes with enough to last a few months, which makes it feel like a great value for the price. They’re also really easy to open—no awkwardly licking your fingers trying to separate the bag (we’ve all been there). A quick rub between your fingers and they open right up, which is a small detail but makes a big difference when you’re out on a walk. They’re unscented, which I personally prefer, and I haven’t had any issues with tearing or leaks so far.Overall, a reliable, eco-friendly option that I’d definitely repurchase.

Great bags… With instructions!!

I've gone through a LOT of dog poo bags over the years, and these are genuinely some of the better ones. The perforations tear cleanly every time. The bags are thick enough that I've never had a leak or a surprise finger situation, which is really the bare minimum ask and somehow not always delivered… that said they are thin so I’m still somewhat careful.I also appreciate that they're compostable/eco-friendly without sacrificing durability. Some "green" bags feel like wet tissue paper — these don't. My dog is a medium-sized guy with... ambitious output, and these handle it no problem. The roll dispenses easily from a standard bag holder, and the bright yellow printing makes it easy to find the tear point even on early morning walks when your brain isn't fully online yet. This is embarrassing, but by far the best feature is having the arrow to tell you which side is the opening. This is especially true when wearing gloves.Over all they are slightly pricy but they are great to use and better for the environment so… just get some.

Good quality compostable pet waste bags

These bags are a nice thickness and a softer, less crinkly plastic feel. They are made with cornstarch and compostable, and the box gives a 9mo shelf life which seemed a bit unusual. They are a good size for my medium size dog's waste, and worth purchasing.

Certified 100% compostable and better for the planet - yay!

I'm always on the lookout for 100% certified compostable poop gags and these NatureMatters bags fill the bill and then some! Unlike other bags touted as 100% compostable, these are actually certified by TUV Austria. Don't be fooled by imposter bags that SAY they're compostable but don't back it up.The bags are made from cornstarch. They are good-sized and seem to be sufficiently strong. After a field test with our 17 pound pooch, the bag performed just fine; easy to tear at the perforation and no leaking. Of course if your dog weighs 60 to 100 pounds and produces mega-poop, you might need to double-bag. The company also donates 10% of sale proceeds to World Wildlife Fund. I like that! I would definitely buy these again. They may cost a bit more than regular plastic poop bags, but they are well worth it. Thank you!

excellent quality, thick, fits well in holders, a bit pricey

These are good quality doggie dropping bags. They are thicker than most and don't tear easily, which is important for this type of item. They fit well in all the holders I have, and roll well when I need one. They tear apart easily and do the job well. They are a bit more pricey than most, but if you value the environment, these are a good value, as they are not only biodegradable, but also compostable. I also like that a percentage of the profit goes to charity.

Easy-to-find perforation, no scent, but thinner bag doesn't seal in odor well

On the plus side, I like that these bags are plant-based and should (theoretically) break down faster. I also like that there’s a printed arrow showing the perforation to tear, because dang if I can never find it, and then I’m always trying to open the wrong end of the bag while the dogs leglock me. They’re unscented, which is a HUGE positive for me. Dog poop smells bad enough, I don’t need extra chemical odors added to the mix. They're big enough to handle a single job (our dogs range from 15-85 pounds). Now, somewhat negatively, the bags are thin, and they don’t really lock the poop smell in unless I double-bag it. I don’t want to do that because then I’m going through them twice as fast. At the current (5/12/26) price of $13.99 for 120 bags, it’s definitely a little pricier, and when you consider the tradeoff of thinner bags, it’s not really worth it for me.

Environmentally-friendly waste bags.

These doggie waste bags are a good alternative for those concerned about bidegradeable waste. They are made of cornstarch, which results in a bag that is a bit thinner, more stretchy and softer than traditional bags. The bags tear off easily, are marked clearly with "open" and "tear" labels for the ends, and do not leak (the biggest concern one might have, I assume). The only real downside is the price; which is four or five times the cost of bags that may only be 40-50% biodegradeable. So it really boils down to (a) affordability, (b) your degree of concern for the environment and (c) your dog's frequency of "output" ;-).Overall a good product if it suits your needs and budget.

Not for home composting

I purchased these$13.99NatureMatters brand,Cornstarch-Based Dog Waste Bags – TÜV Austria Certified Materials | Strong & Leakproof | Eco-Friendly Pet Cleanup | 10% Donated to Charity | 120 Count. This is a large quantity of bags that will last me a long time! The thickness is a medium thick material compared to several other types of waste bags I've used. You can feel the waste through these, but they don't feel overly thin.I do notice my dogs waste odor despite typing the bags up...Keep in mind that home composting of these with meat eating waste in them, shouldn't be done...For the price, and quality, I think these are a good value, but I won't be able to compost my meat eating dog's waste here at home.

A Eco Friendly way to dispose of dog do and Help the World Fund for Nature!

ok, so I usually just use a plastic bag from the grocery or whatever when needed to scoop the poop and they are free at least for a little while longer (my area still gives plastic with purchase). I know, I know just terrible of me....I do use my own re-usable bags for the bulk of my shopping though- so, to pay 10 or 12 cents a bag for doggie do seems like a lot... BUT I have to admit that this product has many perks - 1- the makers of these little bags give 10% of profits back to charity (World Wide Fund for Nature) 2- they are made with cornstarch (?) that sounds natural & 3 they are fully compostable - meaning they break down and are Eco friendly! What's also actually great about these bags- they are unscented and leak proof, the box that I ordered have 8 rolls of 15 in each small roll easy to put in your pocket and great to leave in the car for unexpected stops - I handed a couple rolls off to my sons so they can take care of business as well as help save the earth! If you have to pick up your dog waste at least be as friendly as you can! (funny thing - they really should proof read before production - bag says TEAR HEAR at the perforated area!

They hold poop.

They're poop bags. They do everything you want a poop bag to do. They are nicer than some of the other, cheaper ones because they have a sort of soft texture that makes it easy to open them. They are somewhat transparent -- you have to look closely to see inside them, but you can. Not a deal breaker, I don't think most people would notice.Didn't make any attempt to compost them, so can't say whether they do or not.

good functional bags, a bit pricey

This review is for the Nature Matters cornstarch-based dog waste bags. These come in a pack of 8 rolls. They are standard size, so would fit in all of the typical bag holders. They were easy to tear off the roll and easy to open/unfold. I was wondering about the durability given they're "cornstarch-based" but found them to be very durable (putting both hands inside and stretching it out I didn't create any holes). If you tried to specifically punch a hole with the tip of your finger then you could probably rip it, but unless you're putting something sharp like a stick in the bag this should contain the poop just fine. The drawback is the price - you can get get 3-4x as many bags from the basic brand for the same price. If being "environmentally friendly" is your goal, then the surcharge may be worth it for you.

Really nice bags

These bags feel really different material wise I normally use the Amazon basics bags for my leash but these just feel different it's a really soft material that just doesn't feel like plastic it's weird to describe but it feels like a premium bag and you feel like you're not throwing away a plastic bag. The bags are made of cornstarch so that's probably why plus they're biodegradable after a while another plus on plastic. The size is correct for your leash attachment besides that they're just your standard size bag they're large enough to be able to use as a glove comfortably and then be able to tie the bag with a knot without any issues they're not too short of small they're perfectly sized for any size. The bags themselves don't have any scent but once tied they don't leak any odors.

Nice set of bags

These are good dog bags, and I like that they are compostable in a factory. The ones that are fully compostable naturally tend to fall apart, so these ones are more durable like regular bags, but they are more eco-friendly than standard bags. You get a lot of bags in the box and the carrier so it's nice to have and I've been very pleased with them.

Great for reducing landfill waste, but not for home composting.

I have certain minimum requirements for poop bags: they must be colored/opaque so I don't have to look at the poop I'm carrying around, and they must be thick enough so that it doesn't easily tear and smear or dump that poop that I've already had to pick up once. They should also be relatively easy to tear off the roll and open. I didn't measure them, but they appear to be about the same size as my usual brand. My dog is a 12 lb. Maltipoo, so I generally don't have to worry about that. Small dogs = small bags of food = small poops! As to my minimum requirements, these bags are perfect. They are an opaque green color even when unfolded and filled; they have some words printed on them, but I don't care what the bag actually looks like as long as it doesn't look like poop when it's full. They tear and open easily without me having to wet my fingers to get a grip on it - which is great when you're dealing with poop. The sticker holding the roll closed is a bit tough to tear, but as I deal with that at home before we head out it doesn't bother me too much. The bags are just thick enough to block some of the feeling of picking up poop. I've had some bags that were so thin I kept checking my hands to make sure I didn't get any on me! They are not quite thick enough to contain all of the smell of the poop, though. To be fair, none of the other bags have been able to do it so I won't mark these down for that. They do a fine job of containing all of their unpleasant contents without leaking, but if you happen to tie your bags to the leash and your dog takes off after a rabbit, these bags are not thick enough to survive intact after being dragged across pavement. Just in case you were wondering.I cannot speak to the bags' compostability. I don't compost at home and I wouldn't compost my dog's poop even if I did. The poop of any animal that eats meat should NOT be used for home composting since it requires higher than normal temperatures to kill any pathogens it might contain. Even using it to fertilize ornamental plants is questionable. However, I am very comforted to know that these bags will break down easily in my local landfill. They maintain higher temperatures there than is usually found in home composting to render it safe. Plus, I think the bacteria in the dog poop might help degrade other items in the landfill.Overall, definitely a great buy!

Eco-Friendly Bags That Get the Job Done

These cornstarch-based dog waste bags are a solid eco-friendly option for everyday use. They are strong enough for regular cleanup and hold up well without feeling flimsy. They are not super thick, but they are definitely better than some of the thinner, cheaper bags I’ve seen before. Overall, the quality feels decent and reliable for daily walks.I also like that they have a pleasant smell, which makes them more comfortable to use. Overall, a good balance of eco-friendly material and practical strength.
